Many Pacquiao - An Ideal Congressman
Filed: May 15th 2007: News

Boxing is a sport, a liberating creative activity that calls for body, mind, and spirit coordination. It is a sport wherein the highest level of intelligence, namely, analytical and critical thinking evolves. The players are watchful, alert to outsmart, surprise, and subdue the unprepared opponent.

My former student from Estancia, Iloilo, MR. ADRIANO GOLINGAN JR., an enterprising businessman now residing in General Santos City trained Manny at an early age of nine (9). Through his countless years of constant practice, Manny developed his mix magical skills of lighting speed hard punches.

Manny Pacquiao’s name resonated throughout the world as the SUPER FEATHERWEIGHT CHAMPION from the Philippines. His countrymen welcomed him with happiness and pride.

His victories to regain his title from Mexico’s best bet MORALES and the recent win against JORGE SOLIS catapulted him to the admiration of everybody.

At an early age, Manny was deprived of higher education due to poverty; however, through another prism for success in the Boxing Arena, he has amassed popularity and hard earned wealth. He remains humble and never driven by lust of material possessions. He believes that satisfaction breeds no success; so he wants to experiment and embrace a new splash in his life.

The boxing career must not punctuate his dream, and he wants to run for Congressman in southern Mindanao. He has a profound vision to uplift his impoverished countrymen, and at the same time a desire to embark on a higher level of service to his country.

His plan is reversely received with criticisms. Fans want him to pursue his boxing career. He is deficient in speaking English, and has not attended higher education. These challenges can be solved.

Governor ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER of California was ridiculed by political opponents due to mispronunciation of English words. He displayed his brilliant ideas and put them into actions coupled with hard work and unselfishness; he saved California from bankruptcy.

George W. Bush was a C student during his school days. He is proud to retell this funny story about the emotional essay asked by his professor in English. He got tired of using the word TEARS and he wanted a synonym; so his mother gave him a Thesaurus dictionary. The new word that caught his attention was LACERATES. “MY LACERATES RAN DOWN MY CHEEKS.” Happily, he turned in his paper. The professor wrote down his comment, “WHAT AN AWFUL ENGLISH.” He added this in his presidential speech, “A C Student Could Be A President.”

Is English a solid measurement of service to one’s country? Brilliant ideas put into actions, especially caring and sharing - they are the great secret of the universe.

Who among our senators and congressmen are willing to spend years of practice in the boxing arena for training to discipline his body, mind, and spirit to ward off the vicious TKO?

Manny’s entry into another venue of service stems from his desire to affirm his dignity in the vast kaleidoscopic playground of politics. His unselfish immeasurable love for his countrymen to recycle and realign their deplorable conditions is GOD’S DRIVEN PURPOSE for his life. His big dream evolves from a magnanimous humanistic manifestation.

“MATERIAL THINGS CAN NOT APPEASE ME, I MUST SHARE AND HELP MY COUNTRYMEN.”

POLITICS IS THE ULTIMATE FORM OF PUBLIC SERVICE.

What is important in life?

THINK, BELIEVE, DREAM, AND DARE!!!

Soar like a bird up in the sky; scale the highest mountain. Your profound vision will bring enormous success; you are an inspiration to all Filipinos.

CAUTION:
Beware of quantities of friends who plan to take advantage of you; some are wolves dressed in sheepskins. Deception will lead you astray.

SOLUTION:
To improve and overcome English deficiency, employ ESL tutor. It is not late to go back to school and college, there is no age limit in education. Be positive and self-determined.

MANNY YOU CAN DO IT!!!
